Aaron Hernandez has found himself in even more trouble.

Hernandez, who is already charged with first degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, also faces assault charges.

TMZ originally reported Hernandez “recognized the other inmate and launched into an attack — beating the other man up pretty badly.”

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson confirmed the possibility of further charges with the Boston Herald.

“We completed our investigation today. Based on the investigation an application for a criminal complaint was filed in the third district court (in New Bedford).”

The incident doesn’t paint a very good portrait of Hernandez as he awaits a murder trial. Although the two incidents are separate, they could eventually overlap. The prosecution can use the fight in jail to further strengthen their case against Hernandez.
